- This is a Sole Source Synopsis announcement. A written solicitation will not be issued. Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) intends to award a cost plus fixed fee Delivery Order, under sole source Basic Ordering Agreement (BOA) N00024-16-G-2218, to Austal, USA (Austal), 1 Dunlap Drive Mobile, AL 33610. The efforts under this delivery order include program management, advanced planning, detail design, work item development, class engineering, onsite liaison, scheduling, participation in planning meetings, material procurement and kitting, and supporting AIT or fleet maintenance production and testing effort. As the building yard for this Class, Austal is the only source which has the unique knowledge and expertise, including detailed knowledge of each ship's delivered configuration, deferred work, incomplete changes, and technical data to competently perform the planning, design and engineering functions to meet Government schedule requirements. The intent of this notice is not to solicit competitive offers. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this synopsis or any follow up information requests. Interested party's response to this Synopsis shall be limited to 3 pages and shall include the following information: 1. Party's name, address, point of contact, phone number, and email address. 2. Party's capability to meet the key requirements based on previous experience. Interested parties shall respond to this Sole Source Synopsis no later than 2:00 (EST) 26 January 2017.
