- This is a Request for Information (RFI) and a solicitation or request for quote (RFQ) is anticipated between May and August of 2017. The USDA-ARS intends to purchase these items if and when funding becomes available (funding is anticipated). This request is submitted for the USDA-ARS to build a requirement and find potential vendors for this requirement when funding becomes available. This RFI is for a Centrifuge Specifications below are based on the centrifuge currently being used. The USDA-ARS requests proposed products that meet or exceed the current specifications. The Government is looking to upgrade aging equipment to maximize and expand research capabilities. Specifications are based on a Sorvall Legend XTR •Capacity: 4 x 750mL (TX-750), or 4 standard/1 deepwell plate (per carrier). •Speed: 4700rpm. •RCF: 4816 X G. •Refrigerated: Yes. •Display: Color Graphic Display. •Memory: 99 programs (5 with direct access key). •Motor Type: Direct, brushless induction, low-profile. •Safety Features: Certified ClickSeal biocontainment system, language selection, motorized lid latch, AutoLock III rotor locking, SMARTspin imbalance detection. •Timer: 99 hr. 59 min. plus HOLD. •Certifications/Compliance: UL, CE, CSA, Certified Biosafety; IVD compliant; IEC 61010-1, IEC 61010-2-020, IEC 61010-2-101; 230V models meet EN 292, EN 61326, EN 55011B. Rotor: TX-750. •Controller Type: Microprocessor. •Ventilated: No. •For high-performance applications with temperature-sensitive samples. CFC-free refrigeration system. The USDA-ARS currently has the following accessories and request suggested product be compatible with the existing products if possible.
