Place of Performance: US Army Contracting Command - Aberdeen Proving Ground Adelphi Contracting Division 2800 Powder Mill Road Bldg. 601 Adelphi, Maryland 20783 8. Description: The United States Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a) -- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. based on the need to utilize Veeco-brand parts and service technicians to ensure the warranties on the Varian Gen II Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) and Applied EPI Gen II MBE Systems are not voided and that all parts replaced or installed function seamlessly. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with Veeco Process Equipment, Inc. (doing business as "Veeco Instruments, Inc."), 4900 Constellation Drive, Suite 200, Saint Paul, MN, 55127-2222, for Replacement Parts and Maintenance Services for Veeco Instruments, Inc. brand Varian Gen II Molecular Beam Epitaxy (MBE) and Applied EPI Gen II MBE Systems for a three year ordering period. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, any responsible source who believes it is capable of meeting the requirement may submit a capability statement, proposal, or quotation, which shall be considered by the agency, only if received by the closing date and time of this notice. A determination not to compete the proposed requirement based upon the responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice are due no later than 11:59pm eastern standard time on 17 January 2017. Submissions should be emailed to Contract Specialist Allison Murray at Allison.s.murray.civ@mail.mil.
