- Synopsis The Regional Contracting Office-MCIWEST, Marine Corps Base, Camp Pendleton, CA, has a requirement to provide short-term heavy equipment leasing services at Marine Corps Base (MCB), Camp Pendleton, CA; Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Miramar, CA; and Marine Corps Recruit Depot (MCRD), San Diego, CA. The period of performance is expected to begin on April 1, 2017. The anticipated procurement will be a Firm Fixed Price Requirements contract. This is a pre-solicitation notice that a solicitation is scheduled to be released via FedBizOpps (www.fbo.gov) on or around January 23, 2017 for short-term heavy equipment leasing services. This is not a request for responses. This announcement is a pre-solicitation notice only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. Set-aside status: The solicitation is scheduled to be issued as a 100% small business set-aside. The North American Industry Classification System code for this requirement is 532412 "Construction, Mining and Forestry Machinery and Equipment Rental and Leasing" with a size standard of $32.5M. Conducting Business with the Government In order for contractors to conduct business with the Department of Defense, the contractor must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. Information on registering in SAM may be obtained by calling (866) 606-8220 or via the internet at http://www.sam.gov.
