This is a SOURCES SOUGHT announcement only. It is neither a solicitation announcement nor a request for proposal or quote and does no obligate the Government to award a contract. Requests for a solicitation will not receive a response. Responses to this Sources Sought must be in writing. The purpose of this Sources Sought Announcement is for market research to make appropriate acquisition decisions and to gain knowledge of potential qualified businesses. Responses to this notice shall include: Company Name Address Point of Contact Phone, Fax, and Email DUNS number Cage Code Type of business, e.g. Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business, Veteran Owned Small Business, 8(a), HUB Zone, Women Owned Small Business, SDB, Large Must provide a capability statement that addresses the organizations qualifications and ability to perform the work described below: The Harry S Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, MO requires a new Inhaled Nitric Oxide (INO) System to be used in the ICU, the operating room or the cardiovascular laboratory. The system requirements are: The vendor shall provide an integrated, single unit, designed to administer and monitor INO to the facility and provide a cylinder gas (Nitric Oxide) monthly or at the discretion of the facility. Vendor will also be required to provide all the necessary supplies and consumables to the facility. The delivery device must function to measure gas flow in the breathing circuit and inject the required flow of INO to deliver the concentration set by the user in parts per million (PPM). It must be designed to deliver a constant concentration of INO, independent of the ventilator flow patterns. The units will be designed and function so that INO can be delivered via nasal cannula without modification. Inhaled Nitric Oxide (INO) may be administered in the ICU, the operating room or the cardiovascular laboratory by a Respiratory Therapist that is trained and competent in the use of INO and the designated unit. Vendor will be responsible for all initial training and in servicing of the units to the respiratory care staff. The vendor will also provide additional training as needed by the facility. An inventory of 12, 800 ppm Nitric Oxide cylinders will be maintained in the appropriate area in the Respiratory Care Department and the vendor will be responsible for the exchange of empty cylinders. Respiratory Care staff will maintain a usage log that can be cross-referenced by patient and hours when the unit is used. Response Needed by 1/4/2017 at 1000 EST.
