- Justification for an Exception to Fair Opportunity FEDSIM Contracting Office awarded a Firm-Fixed-Price task order (TO) GSQ0017AJ0017 against Unisys Corporation's Alliant contract GS00Q09BGD0060. The TO was awarded pursuant to FAR 16.505(b)(2)(i)(C), the order must be issued on a sole-source basis in the interest of economy and efficiency as a logical follow-on to an order already issued under the contract, provided that all the contractors were given fair opportunity to be considered for the original order. The TO was in support of GSA IT mainframe hosting services and ClearPath mainframe technical refresh. The period of performance is a nine-month base period and four, one-year options, and the places of performance at the contractor's facilities in Eagan, MN and Salt Lake City, UT. The justification for exception to fair opportunity is separately attached.
