Description

The Department of Veteran Affairs, Network Contracting Office 8 (NCO 8), Orlando, FL, intends to issue solicitation no. VA248-17-Q-0196, Sakura System Maintenance Service, for the Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Nona, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, FL 32827. This procurement is sole source to Sakura Finetek U.S.A. Inc., as the only manufacturer authorized source for this service. The scope of this procurement is to provide preventive maintenance and repair service and parts, software and hardware upgrades to most current revisions, phone support, and response to repair calls for the following Sakura equipment: Sakura Prisma Stainer, SN#61300803-0712 Sakura Film Coverslipper, SN#47400757 This equipment is located at the Orlando VA Medical Center, Lake Nona Lab, 13800 Veterans Way, Orlando, Florida. The manufacturer is Sakura Finetek U.S.A., Inc., 1750 West 214th Street, Torrance, CA 90501. The period of performance will be one base 12-month period beginning on/about 1 February 2017, with four option years, plus the six month 52.217-8 Option to Extend Services clause. The type of contract will be firm-fixed price. The solicitation will be issued at the Federal Business Opportunities website (https://www.fbo.gov) on/about 30 December 2016, with quotes due on/about 6 January 2017 and award on/about 13 January 2017. The NAICS Code is 811219, Other Electronic and Precision Equipment Repair and Maintenance, small business size standard $20.5M. Contract award will be based upon technical and past performance acceptability, with fair and reasonable price.
