Description
Contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, supervision, and other items and services necessary for the replacement of HVAC equipment, Roland Hall Pool, U.S. Coast Guard Academy, New London, CT. General: Existing pool dehumidification equipment aged 20+ years, and the air distribution system is not adequate to maintain the air quality including proper ventilation during events, humidity and chloramines at pool water surface level. This has occasionally resulted increased health issues. The new HVAC system will improve the air quality with improved and increased equipment capacity, air changes, adequate ventilation during events, pool water surface heavy gas exhaust, lighting and controls improvements. Scope of Work includes the following key improvements: 1. Improved and larger natatorium unit 2. Ductwork and air distribution system 3. Pool hot water piping and pumps 4. Pool dehumidifier space re-heat piping and pumps 5. Existing mechanical room modifications to adopt new natatorium unit and future ease of access 6. Pool gutter piping replacement and new exhaust system 7. Pool deck drain system pipe lining 8. Existing building automation system improvements and re-commissioning 9. Electrical distribution system with new panel in the mechanical room 10. Pool area acoustical ceiling tiles replacement 11. Pool area lighting replacement with LED Performance Period: The anticipated schedule includes dehumidifier and duct work shop drawings being approved in late Jan 2017, with on-site construction beginning in April 2017 and being complete on or before 28 July 2017. Award to completion is estimated at approximately 7 months.
