- The Fleet Logistics Center Jacksonville, Florida intends to acquire, on behalf of the Commander Naval Station Guantanamo Bay (GTMO), Cuba, Public Works Department, electrical grid supplies. These supplies are needed to repair and replace poles, wires, electrical systems and various materials damaged by Hurricane Matthew. This procurement is being conducted as a commercial item acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 and Subpart 13.5. Furthermore, this procurement is being processed as a small business set-aside pursuant to FAR 19.5 through full and open competition. The award of a firm fixed price contract is anticipated. This announcement constitutes the only synopsis for this requirement; and is issued for notification purposes only. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All interested parties must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. See https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ for further information and instruction. Additional information for this requirement will be listed in the solicitation, which is anticipated to be released on or about 28 December 2016. Release of the RFQ will be via the internet. Interested parties may download the RFQ upon it ™s issuance to the following website https://neco.navy.mil. Interested parties are solely responsible for monitoring the aforementioned website for postings of the solicitation and any amendments thereto. The Government will not pay for information submitted in response to this notice.
