- Global ASNT Inc 2 Demo Day MEMORANDUM FOR POTENTIAL OFFERORS FROM: AFLCMC/HNAK Space, Aerial, & Nuclear Networks Division MITRE D 202 Burlington Road Bedford, MA 01730 SUBJECT: General Notification Pertaining to Global Aircrew Strategic Network Terminal (ASNT) Increment 2 1. The purpose of this correspondence is to continue the activities used to solicit Industry feedback as the Government develops the Global ASNT Increment 2 acquisition strategy and requirements-related documentation. The Government would like to inform Industry that we are open to correspondence and one-on-one meetings as we refine our market research. At this time, we are interested in specific information related to Commercial-Off-the-Shelf (COTS), Non-Developmental Item (NDI) or near-NDI systems that integrate the Increment 2 components detailed in the 23 February 2016 and 29 March 2016 Sources Sought Synopsis (i.e., Ultra High Frequency (UHF) Line of Sight (LOS) radios, HF radios, personal alerting devices, and general area alerting systems) such that the individual components can function as a complete and integrated Increment 2 system. 2. The Government is interested in obtaining information and/or demonstrations of NDI 1 systems that are in operational use today (for either military or civilian applications) that could provide this capability or a significant portion of this capability. Industry should keep in mind that Global ASNT Increment 2 is intended to operate in both a fixed and transportable version, both of which must be able to support survivable communication during any period of a nuclear conflict with minor modification. This information could be provided via electronic responses to the Contracting Officer and/or one-on-one meeting with or without a demonstration. For planning purposes, we anticipate supporting demonstrations and one-on-one meetings anytime around the 30 January - 3 February 2017 timeframe at the MITRE Bedford, MA location. Electronic correspondence can be provided at your convenience to the contacts listed below. 3. The Government is interested in knowing: a. Is the system available for a demonstration? b. Does the system support or is there a plan for Internet Protocol (IP) or other non-proprietary/ open communications interface? c. Does the system provide an integrated maintenance/operator functionality, including Built-in-Test (BIT)? 4.
