- Western Area Power Administration Upper Great Plains Region has a requirement for a contractor to provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation and other resources to complete the construction of the Towner Switching Station near Towner, North Dakota. The principal components of the work include installing Government-Furnished Equipment (GFE), Furnishing and Installing Electrical Equipment: manual transfer switch, safety switches, and AC and DC panelboards. Furnishing and installing bus system, grounding system, conduit system, insulated conductors and cables, terminal boxes, outdoor lighting units, and switchyard signs. Furnishing and installing foundations and anchor bolts for switchyard structures, electrical equipment, and material. Performing site work. Furnishing and installing galvanized steel, cable trench and gravel surfacing. Constructing a site built service building complete with electrical and mechanical systems. The estimated construction magnitude of this project is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. All work is to be completed within 270 days of Notice to Proceed. This is a Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS 237130 with a size standard of 36.5 Million. All responsible small business concerns may submit a bid which shall be considered by this Agency. This solicitation will be issued on or about December 21, 2016 and the projected bid opening date is January 24, 2017. The solicitation closes at 2:00 PM Central Time on January 24, 2017.
