NO FUNDS ARE AVAILABLE TO PAY FOR PREPARATION OF RESPONSES TO THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. ANY INFORMATION SUBMITTED BY RESPONDENTS TO THIS TECHNICAL DESCRIPTION IS STRICTLY VOLUNTARY. DLA Aviation, Cherry Point, NC has a requirement to procure 60 AV-8B ACFT, BODY, BUTTERFLY VALVE; P/N: 75A507207-1003; LSN 4820-LLNCC3717, this is a Critical Application (CAI) item; This is also a Critical Safety Application(CSI) item. It is not a commercial item. Configuration Control applies. This item is restricted to BAE Cage (U9143) This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the product. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design controls activities procedures as approved by the cognizant Governments engineering activity. This is a sole source item coded 3L. The Government does not possess the technical data package for this National Stock Number to evaluate alternate offers. Based on market research to date BAE, Cage Code: U9143 is the only known source capable of providing the required supplies. The purpose of this notice to determine whether there are other sources capable of providing the required supplies. Interested parties may identify their interest and submit a capability statement in response to this notice to the points of contact shown below within ten (10) calendar days after the date of the publication of this notice. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Responses to this notice should include company name, address, and telephone number, point of contact, and information that will help the government to understand the capability of your company to perform the required services. The applicable NAICS code is 336413 with a small business size standard of 1000. In addition to the above, please provide the following information: (1) Is your business a large or small business under this NAICS code? (2) If small, indicate: if your firm is certified under Section 8(a) of the Small Business Act, if your firm is a certified HUBZone firm, if your firm is women-owned, and/or if your firm is Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned.
