- Description
- The Federal Bureau of Prisons, Field Acquisition Office in Grand Prairie, Texas intends to issue a solicitation for the provision of Vocational Computer Applications/Business Technology Program for the inmate population of the Federal Correctional Institution, located in Sheridan, Oregon. The contract period shall consist of the Effective Date of Award (EDOA) through 12 months from the EDOA and four 12 month option periods for renewal at the unilateral discretion of the Government. The requirement for this service will consist of estimated 800 sessions per 12 month period (Approximately 20 credit hours per certificate program and up to 40 students per year). Each session will be defined as one (1) college credit hour. It is anticipated the classrooms will be available five days per week between the hours of 7:30am to 10:30am and 12:00pm to 3:00pm, Monday through Friday, excluding Federal Holidays with actual hours being mutually agreed upon by the Contractor and the Government. The occupational education program must fall under the provider's umbrella of accreditation and lead to transferrable credits resulting in a college certificate, A.A., A.A.S. or A.S. degree. Industry-accepted certification is also acceptable. Providers must be accredited by a recognized accrediting agency. The solicitation will be available on or about December 22, 2016 and will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration Federal Business Opportunities website at http://www.fedbizopps.gov. The site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will NOT be available. Any contractor interested in obtaining a contract award with the Federal Bureau of Prisons must register at www.sam.gov. All future information about this solicitation, including solicitation amendments will also be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition. The North American Industry Classification System code for this solicitation is 611519 Other Technical and Trade Schools with a size standard of $15 million. The anticipated date for receipt of quotations is 2:00 P.M. CST January 20, 2017, however, this is a projected estimate and quoters should refer to the solicitation (1449 -Block #08) for the actual date quotations are due. The solicitation will be unrestricted. The anticipated date of award is February 1, 2017.
