- Description
- The Northwest Regional Maintenance Center (NWRMC), Puget Sound Naval Shipyard and Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS&IMF), Bremerton, WA intends to award a firm fixed-price contract for the structural repair and preservation of six (6) harbor security boats (MOOSE BOATS) which are located at Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, WA. The contractor's dry-dock facility, shall be located within the greater Puget Sound area, and not more than 50 nautical miles from Naval Base Kitsap, Bangor, WA, and must possess the capability of accommodating the vessels which are described as follows: Model of the vessels : Model M2-35 aluminium catamaran patrol vessel manufactured by Moose Boats, Vallejo, CA. Manufacture year : 2006-2007. Size of Vessel : 36' length overall Draft of vessel (full load) : 4'5". Electrical : 24 Volt (converted to 12 volt). Tasks may include the following for each of six (6) vessels: 1. Hull and Transom Repair 2. Prepare, Prime, and Paint at Worksite 3. Install Bilge Blower 4. Install Bilge Drains 5. Prepare, Prime, and Paint Bilges 6. Replace "C" Channels Firms possessing the capability and qualifications shall provide the tools, labor material and services to accomplish these tasks. The period of performance will begin early March 2017; and ending late September 2017. Vessels will be made available two at a time with the expectation of completing the work on both vessels within 60 days, before receiving the next two vessels, etc. This procurement will be conducted utilizing FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Acquisitions - Commercial Procedures. This procurement is anticipated to be a total small business set-aside. This pre-solicitation synopsis is for informational purposes only and shall not be construed as a request for proposal or as an obligation on the part of the Government.
