Description
Solicitation #: HHSNIHOPCSS 17-002839 Date Posted: December 21, 2016 This is a notice of intent, not a request for a quotation. A solicitation document will not be issued and quotations will not be requested. The National Institutes of Health (NIH), Clinical Center (CC), Critical Care Medicine Department (CCMD), has a requirement to provide training program for NIH fellows for three education weeks, this training will focus on topics, such as ventilator Management, ICU leadership, and management of complex multisystem diseases. The training, will consist for the group as a whole once to twice daily each day during the course using the simulation laboratory or mentor- mentee tutorial to assess and improved technical skills and analytical ability. The primary purpose of the training is to provide national leadership in directing the standards and goal of critical care clinical practice training and research. The NIH, CC intends to award 12 months plus Four (4) option year fixed price purchase order to Burton Lee, who is the only individual who has extensive knowledge and experience creating and training students in Critical care and pulmonary medicine. Burton Lee has rated by those he has trained as being one of the very best aspects of their critical care training. There is no other vendor with comparable capabilities that can meet the complexity of work required to support the training services. This acquisition is being conducted using policies unique to the acquisition of commercial items prescribed in FAR Part 12, in conjunction with the policies and procedures for the competition requirements of Part 6. Interested parties may identify their interest and capabilities in response to this posting. The determination by the Government not to compete the proposed requirement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Comments to this announcement, referencing this posting number, may be submitted to the CC, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, prior to the closing date specified in this announcement, electronically to the attention of Priscilla Abalos, Contract Specialist, priscilla.abalos@nih.gov by 01/02/2017 at 12:00 PM.
