Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 339114. The Edward Hines Jr VA Medical Center has a need for new three brand name or equal Planmeca ProMax 3D Plus. This model meets the volume size requirements that will provide appropriate radiographic image coverage and allow for implant treatment planning and diagnosis of other dental pathology. This model as it is mid-range and will provide the diagnostic imaging required. A model with smaller volume sizes will not meet the diagnostic requirements and the larger models cover an image area outside of what is required. The requirement is for a Panorex/3D with Volume sizes ranging from 040x50 mm through 0160 x90 mm. The technical data would include an Anode voltage of 54-90kv, Anode current 1-14mA, Focal spot 0.5mm, fixed anode, Image detector, Flat panes, Image acquisition 200/360 degree rotation, Scan time 2-33 s, and Reconstruction time 2-30 s. The Planmeca ProMax Plus 3D will be replacing an aged Planmeca Panorex/3D currently in use in the clinic. The desired replacement is comptable with the IT network and software currently used in the clinic and would facilitate a seamless transition to the new hardware. Additionally, purchase and installation of this brand and model Panorex/3D would not require facility modifications, and potentially avoid installation expenses associated with a different item. Does not install supports, electric or pull cables End User Training: Includes two training days. One at installation and one follow up date. This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 339114 and the small business size standard is 750 employees. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Friday, December 23, 2016.
