Brand Name Justification The proposed contract action is for commercial items, which the Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to solicit this requirement as 100% small business set-aside. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with FAR 12.6, using Simplified Acquisitions Procedures for commercial items found at FAR 13, supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is N0025917Q0057. It is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this acquisition is 334510, the size standard is 1,250 (# of employees). CLIN 0001: 1x8 Vectris Subcompact Trial Lead Kit (60cm); Product #: 977D160; Quantity: 10; Unit of Issue: EA; Date Material Required: January 09, 2016. Shipping is to be included with the price of the materials. Salient Characteristics: Due to the current phase one (1) trials being conducted utilizing Medtronic spinal cord stimulation consumables, the leads that are required must also be Medtronic to ensure continuity of care and patient safety. The products must be brand name Medtronic trial leads and kits.
