- Description
- This is a notification that the Air Force Materiel Command (AFMC), Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC), Battle Management Directorate, Theater Battle Control Division (HBDK) intends to extend contract services currently performed by Raytheon Command and Control Systems 1801 Hughes Drive, Fullerton CA 92833-2200 under a cost-plus-fixed-fee contract FA8722-10-C-0001. The contract was previously awarded on a sole source basis under statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Agency Requirements. AFLCMC/HBDK intends to execute a contract modification to extend the existing option CLIN by four months to provide transition knowledge transfer support for the Battle Control System Fixed (BCS-F) system. The current option period expires 60 days after the option is exercised. The extension will extend services through 180 days after option exercise. The basis of the intended contract modification is statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 541519 with a size standard of 1250 employees for subcontracting opportunities. This notice is not a request for proposals. This action will result in a modification to a "bridge" contract to extend contract services which is necessary to allow for continuity of critical contractor services once the competitive contract is awarded. Any information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for enhancing competition in a future competitive procurement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. All responses must be received no later than January 6, 2017 at 12:00 pm, Eastern Standard Time and should be submitted to Rebekah Bohannon, Contracting Officer, via email rebekah.bohannon@us.af.mil.
