Description

(SOLICITATION EXTENDED TO: 10 JANUARY 2017) (REVISED - 15 NOV 16) This is a notice of intent that Air Force Sustainment Center (AFSC) anticipates issuing a Sole Source, Firm, Fixed Price effort to Northrop Grumman Systems (NGS) to obtain engineering services to redesign a Form, Fit, Function and Interface (F3I) of the Rotary Pump (NSN 4320-01-040-5789, P/N 581R912H01) and Temperature Control Valve (NSN: 4820-01-057-4689, PN: 581R911H02) (TCV) used on the E-3 Airborne Warning and Control System (AWACS) radar system. The Rotary Pump and TCV are critical components of the Thermal Stabilization Unit (TSU) that provides liquid coolant at a constant flow rate to the antenna equipment at controlled temperature. The TSU is a component of the E-3 APY-1/2 Surveillance Radar System. Design and test data is proprietary to NGS and the Government does not own any data to provide for competitive procurement. Deliverables are two (2) prototype units with an updated technical data package. Requirement is low risk and is not Mission Essential. Delivery Schedule: The delivery schedule is 12 months after contract award. Duration of Contract: 12 months after contract award.
