- Description
- The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division (NAWCAD), Lakehurst, NJ, intends to negotiate on a non-competitive basis with Lockheed Martin Corporation, Owego, NY, for the fabrication of eighteen (18) Operational Test Program Sets (OTPSs) for the Multimode Radar (MMR) and Advanced Radar Periscope Detection and Discrimination (ARPDD) Work Replaceable Assemblies (WRA)s (6 full sets and 12 subsets). There are 5 WRAs supported in total: MMR Antenna Pedestal (AP), ARPDD AP, ARPDD Radar Data Processor (RDP), MMR Receiver Transmitter (RT) and ARPDD RT. Lockheed Martin is the prime integrator on the MH-60R Aircraft and is the designer, developer, and manufacturer (Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM)) of the MMR ARPDD OTPS. No other source has sufficient technical data, drawings, software, and trained technical personnel to perform this effort. The Government intends to procure the above under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
