- The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU), will be hosting a Vendor Outreach Session (VOS) located in Washington, DC, on January 26, 2017, from 9:00 am to 12:15 pm. The VOS will be held at Homeland Security Acquisition Institute (HSAI) located at 90 K Street NE, Suite 1200, Washington, DC 20002. Vendor Outreach Sessions are a series of pre-arranged 15-minute appointments with Small Business Specialists from various components of the Homeland Security procurement offices. These sessions provide the small business community an opportunity to discuss their capabilities and learn of potential procurement opportunities. Also in attendance will be Prime Contractor Small Business Liaisons from several of the large businesses who have contracts with DHS. There is no cost to the small business vendors. Sign up for the January 26th Vendor Outreach Sessions will be on January 19, 2017, beginning at 12:00 noon, Eastern Time. Please read the instructions carefully as the sessions fill up quickly. Instructions can be found at http://www.dhs.gov/vendor-outreach-session-schedule-scheduling-instructions. NOTE : This session is for Regular Vendor Outreach Sessions with Small Business Specialists and Prime Contractors. In the event OPM issues the Federal Government a 2-hour delayed opening due to inclement weather, VOS will be cancelled. On the morning of the event, please visit www.opm.gov. Individuals will want to register their companies ahead of time and choose a password for speed in signing up the day of registration. Companies can register at http://www.dhsvoms.moriassociates.com/. Walking directions to HSAI from Union Station Metro Stop (Red Line) are as follows: • Exit Station through the Massachusetts Ave. NE & 1st St. NE exit • Make a sharp right exiting from the Metro Station • Walk ahead three blocks • 90 K ST NE is on the right There are two parking garages one on 1st Street and one under the building. Cost is $8.00 and $9.00 if you arrive before 9:00 am. To enter the 90 K Street building, you must have a government issued photo ID card (driver's license or state issued ID) if not employed by the federal government. The name(s) of all visitors will be submitted to building security 48 hours prior to visiting 90 K Street, therefore last-minute substitutes will not be permitted to enter the building.
