- In accordance with FAR and DFARS, Part 41, Naval Facilities Engineering Command Northwest intends to enter into a Utility Services Contract for Electricity Service with Nebraska Public Power District (NPPD) for the provision of electricity services at 611 Chicago Ave, Plattsmouth NE for a period of ten years. The estimated cost of the utilities over the 10-year period will be approximately $133k. DFARS PGI 206.302-1 requires that a Request for Information or Sources Sought notice be advertised when other than full and open competition will be sought for a procurement. In this case the current and only provider of electricity within the Plattsmouth service area is NPPD. This advertisement fulfills the DFARS requirement. An approved Justification and Authorization (J and A) will be published within 14 days of contract award.
