- Description
- The Department of Homeland Security, Office of Procurement Operations, Federal Protective Service Acquisitions Division, intends to procure, under a full & open competition, armed Protective Security Officer (PSO) services at the following facilities in Virginia: 883-885 S. Pickett Street, Alexandria, VA, 6307 Gravel Avenue, Fairfax, VA, 15020-15030 Conference Center Drive, Chantilly, VA, 801 S. Fallon Lane, Vienna, VA and 2451 Crystal Drive Arlington, VA, Crystal Park Drive, Arlington, VA. Additionally, new facilities may be added to this requirement at the Government's discretion. This requirement is being solicited as a commercial acquisition in accordance with FAR Part 12 in conjunction with FAR 15 procedures. It is anticipated that a single award, firm-fixed price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity type contract will be issued as a result of the solicitation, with the exception of the staffing of the new facilities, which will be on a labor hour basis. The NAICS code for this acquisition is 561612, Security Guard and Patrol Services with a size standard of $20.5 million. A Top Secret facility clearance will be required by the closing date of the Request for Proposals. The overall period of performance will consist of single five (5) year ordering period and a six (6) month optional ordering period pursuant to FAR 52.217-8. The Request for Proposals (RFP) shall require the submission of a technical and price proposal. It is anticipated that the solicitation, RFP # HSHQEC-16-R-00011, will be released to the Federal Business Opportunities website on or about December 28, 2016. It is the contractor's responsibility to monitor the website for the issuance of the RFP as well as any updates to the solicitation. All prospective contractors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) (http://www.sam.gov) prior to the submission of their proposals. Please note that the FedBizOpps staff is not authorized to determine the classification code for any FedBizOpps notice. A misclassified contract action fails to notify the firms most likely to respond and therefore may violate the Competition and Contracting Act, the Contracting Officer is held responsible for correctly classifying a FedBizOpps notice.
