Description

CONTINUATION OF PRESOLICITATION NOTICE: Project No. 526-13-101; Renovate Existing Air Handling Units Phase 3 at the James J Peters VA Medical Center, Bronx, New York. Contractor to provide labor, material and supervision to renovate (replace) various existing Air Handling Units (AHUs) No. 2, 10, 11, 20, 21, and 23, serving Main Building 100 areas SPD in GA/GB, 1E, 1D, 3E, 3D, and 4C respectively; in a the emergency generator room, and the exhaust fan serving the boiler room of Building 101 Energy Center. Units must be replaced in order to prevent further safety hazards to patients, visitors, employees. This will include interfacing with the Bldg. s building management system. Work shall also include provision for temporary heating/cooling as necessary during replacement to maintain the air conditioning in the area being served by the AHU to be replaced and the interfacing of AHU automation controls with existing Building Management System (Informational Security Clearance may be necessary). Work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical and electrical work, asbestos abatement, necessary removal of existing construction, and certain other items. The contract completion time is Nine hundred and Thirteen (913) calendar days after issuance of the Notice to Proceed. This procurement is a 100% set-aside for a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Prospective contractors must be registered and certified in the Center for Veterans Enterprise (CVE) VetBiz Registry database prior to submitting a bid: http://www.vip.vetbiz.gov Prospective contractors must be registered and current in the System for Award Management (SAM) database prior to contract award: https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/ Bids will only be accepted from SDVOSBs that are determined to be responsible and responsive contractors. Prospective contractors must be approved under NAICS Code 238220, size standard of $15.0 Million. The cost range for this project is between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. A bid bond will be required, and performance and payment bonds will be required upon award of contract. The solicitation will be released on or around January 1, 2017. The bid submittal address, date and time will be included in the solicitation. Specifications and plans will be available for download from the FedBizOpps website at https://www.fbo.gov Amendments to this solicitation will be posted on the FedBizOpps website as well. Bidders are responsible for obtaining and acknowledging all amendments to this solicitation prior to the time of bid closing. All bid submissions shall be in hardcopies; faxed or e-mailed bids will not be accepted.
