- Description
- Phoenix Express Exercise 2017 The contractor(s) shall provide two (2) total training vessels to facilitate boarding exercises in the Western Mediterranean. Each training vessel must accommodate a Control Team onboard consisting of up to four (4) U.S. Service members that includes an Officer controller, a senior evaluator and possibly a medical specialist and a linguist. Vessel 1 will embark and disembark, at anchor or pier side, a control team in vicinity of Cartagena, Spain. The team will embark NLT 0700 on 12 May and disembark NLT 2100 on 15 May local time. Vessel two will embark and disembark, at anchor or pier side, a control team in vicinity of Cagliari, Sardinia, Italy. This Control Team will embark the vessels on 11 May at 1800 hours and disembark on 15 May at 1000 hours local time. Boarding events will occur in international waters north of Algeria and Tunisia.
