Description

This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation or commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors, including Small Business, Veteran-Owned Small Business (VOSB), and Service-Disabled Veteran-Own Small Business (SDVOSB) vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333241. The Jesse Brown VA Medical Center in Chicago, IL has a need for ten (10) brand name only Nichols Custom Stainless Carts Model No. SRC-G1283 to collect soiled trays from patient's rooms after meal service. The carts are required to pick up the 750-1000 meals trays per day that are delivered to patients by the facility Room Service Program. Carts Characteristics: The soiled tray retrieval cart measures approximately 38" long x 22" wide x 64" high; the top is constructed of 16 gauge stainless steel and the body is constructed out of 18 gauge stainless steel. The cart sits on 5" high casters; (2) with brakes. Cart includes (1) stainless steel door, handle and tray storage angle slides. Carts need to accommodate: (20) 15 X 20 1/2 soiled trays price includes special hinges at door (door opens at least 180 degrees and latches) This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submittals will not be returned to the sender. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 333241 and the small business size standard is 500 employees. Responses due are to be submitted by e-mail to Michael J Rosenthal at Michael.rosenthal@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 2:00 pm Central Standard Time on Monday, December 19, 2016.
