- PREAWARD SYNOPSIS THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THIS SYNOPSIS IS A PRE AWARD NOTIFICATION OF THE GOVERNMENTS INTENT TO AWARD A DELIVERY ORDER UNDER SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT FA811717Q0001 General Information Document Type: Pre-Award Synopsis Program: E-3 Temperature Indicator Solicitation Number: FA811717Q0001 Posted Date: 14 Dec 2016 Anticipated Contract Award: 14 March 2017 Contracting Office Address Department of the Air Force, AFSC PZABA, Tinker AFB, 3001 Staff Drive, Tinker AFB, OK 73145, UNITED STATES Description The purpose of this synopsis is to notify industry of the Air Forces' intent to award delivery order adding new NSN to a Sole Source contract directed towards the Ametek Aerospace with a Cage Code of 89305 pursuant to 10 USC 2304(c )(1) and 10 USC2304(d)(1)(i)(ii), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) approved on 14 December 2016. Ametek Aerospace is the only source with the technical expertise, and proprietary data, parts, assembly and disassembly procedures necessary to provide continued support of this repair effort. This effort is within scope of Indefinite Delivery contract FA85117-17-Q-0001 Due to the complexity and criticality of the item, only preapproved sources meet USAF requirements. The Government does not own the data and is unable to approve additional sources for this configuration. USAF requirements have been reviewed, and are unable to be modified. A review of parts Manufacturer Approvals (PMA), HAYSTACK, and a web search conducated on subject P/N did not reveal any additional sources. As a result, only Ametek NAICS Code 336413 CONTRACT TYPE, PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE AND SMALL BUSINESS SUBCONTRACTING The current acquisition strategy is to add additional NSNs (Table 1) to FA85117-17-Q-0001 for repair services. The anticipated Contract particulars are as follows: NSN: 6685-01-00-9043RK The anticipated CLIN schedule for the basic and option years are as follows: NSN Part Number Noun 6685-01-009-0433 521396 E-3 Temperature Indicator Delivery will be performed in accordance with Basic Contract Delivery Schedule.
