Description
This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the internet. This is a synopsis for noncommercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13 Simplified Acquisition Procedures and is being advertised on an Unrestricted basis under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 541380, Size Standard $15,000,000.00 as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office of Small Business Programs (OSBP). NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase the following on a Firm Fixed Price (FFP) basis: Line Item 0001: Quantity 1 Lot - Services to perform MIL-S-901D shock testing at a qualified facility, in accordance with the Statement of Work (SOW). Additional details will be included in the solicitation. NOTE: In accordance with NAVSEA INSTRUCTION 9491.1C, commercial facilities used to conduct the MIL-S-901D heavyweight shock test must be qualified. NAVSEA INSTRUCTION 9491.1C provides a list of the approved commercial facilities. Using any other commercially available source for the heavyweight shock test is prohibited per NAVSEA INSTRUCTION 9491.1C Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. The following addenda or additional terms and conditions apply: Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rating is DO-C9. The anticipated posting date of solicitation N66604-17-Q-0464 is on or about 3 January 2017. The closing date for receipt of quotes will be established in the RFQ. The Government intends to award a single FFP purchase order to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer represents the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA). This solicitation and any subsequent amendment will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring this site for any amendments.
