Description
SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS For Maintenance and Repairs on Marine Engines and Motors including Yamaha Outboards, Florida Detroit Diesel Allison Engines, and Cummins Engines. THIS IS A REQUEST FOR INFORMATION ONLY. This Announcement is strictly for market research. This is not a Request for Proposal and will be used to identify interested firms' and their capabilities of potential qualifications relative to the North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) Code 336611 - ship building and repairing. This sources sought announcement is for information and planning purposes only and is not to be construed as a commitment by the Government, implied or otherwise, to issue a solicitation or award a contract. NOTE: IF YOU DO NOT INTEND TO SUBMIT AN OFFER ON THIS PROJECT WHEN IT IS FORMALLY ADVERTISED, PLEASE DO NOT SUBMIT A RESPONSE TO THIS SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS. The proposed project will be a competitive firm fixed price blanket purchase agreements. The information gained from response to this synopsis will be used to determine the type of blanket purchase agreements to be issued. The Contractor shall provide maintenance and repairs services to Yamaha outboard motor engine systems for coastal projects. Services shall be performed by a Yamaha outboard factory trained staff that possesses active certifications which are current with Yamaha Motor Corporation, USA policies and standards. The service facility shall have the Yamaha Marine service certification of Five Star Certified or Master Yamaha Technician and other Yamaha certification will be considered. All parts used in servicing the marine motor systems shall be OEM. The Contractor shall provide service maintenance and repairs to Florida Detroit Diesel Alison (FDDA) engines for coastal projects. Services shall be performed by a FDDA factory trained staff that possesses active certifications which are current with FDDA, USA policies and standards. All parts used in servicing the marine engine systems shall be OEM. The Contractor shall provide service maintenance and repairs to Cummins engines for coastal projects. Services shall be performed by a Cummins factory trained staff that possesses active certifications which are current with Cummins, USA policies and standards. All parts used in servicing the marine engine systems shall be OEM. The contractor does not have to specialize in all three manufactures. The contractor shall specify which manufacturer they provide services for. The NAICS Code for this requirement is 336611 - ship building and repairing. Interested/potential offerors should submit their SOC no later than January 10, 2017 by 4:00 pm.
