- Description
- Vandenberg AFB (VAFB), 30 th Space Communications Squadron, is hosting a Cell Tower Upgrade Industry Day on 12 January 2017. The purposes of this meeting are to discuss the potential for the installation of additional cell towers on the premises of VAFB and to provide sufficient information for companies to determine if they are interested in pursuing access / approval to install additional towers on the base. Discussion will include the limitation for towers at VAFB and the potential areas that may be available for installation of additional towers. If circumstances permit, a tour of the locations will be conducted. A briefing will be conducted on 12 January 2017, 1000 PST, Building 12000, with the tour to follow. The tour is dependent on ongoing operations on the installation. While every effort will be made to conduct the tour as planned, mission requirements may dictate rescheduling of the tour. Attendees are to meet at the Main Gate (aka Santa Maria Gate) Visitors Center NLT 0930 PST on 12 January 2017 in order to ensure sufficient time for processing of base passes. Transportation on base to Building 12000 will be provided. Pleas submit the names of all attendees to Shane Berg at shane.berg@us.af.mil (preferred method) or 805-605-3660. This information must be provided NLT 1000 PST on 6 January 2017 in order to ensure access to the base and adequate seating/transportation for the attendees. Due to security requirements and the extensive procedures to clear foreign nationals, it is requested that only U.S. citizens attend.
