SAVE THE DATE: AFLCMC Medium Caliber Program Office (EBDW), Eglin AFB, FL will host an industry day on 7 February 2017, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST), at the Doolittle Institute, 73 Eglin Pkwy, Suite 112, (Uptown Station), Fort Walton Beach, FL 32548. The Medium Caliber Joint Integrated Product Team (JIPT) provides a forum for shared technology and activities to correct deficiencies and enhance all facets of medium caliber ammunition (20mm, 25mm, 30mm, 40mm, and 105mm), aircraft gun systems and Munitions Material Handling Equipment (MMHE) and provides an interface between the United States Air Force, the United States Navy, the United States Army and applicable contractors. To encourage and promote interchange with industry, government, and other joint entities, the JIPT invites industry partners to brief relevant medium caliber topics such as current internal research and development (IRAD) efforts, status of current programs, etc. Due to the nature of the briefing content, briefings will be proprietary, therefore, only the company briefing, personnel who have current non-disclosure agreements with the briefing company and Government personnel will be allowed in the room during each brief. The JIPT meeting will be on 7 February 2017 at the Doolittle Institute, Fort Walton Beach, Florida (not on base so a base pass will not be required). Briefing times will depend upon the number of interested parties but should be kept to less than 45 minutes including questions and comments and should cover current relevant topics that could provide benefits to the war fighter now and/or in the future. REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN for the 7 February 2017 Industry Day. Industry members are invited to register no later than 11:59 p.m. (CST) on 27 January 2017. For registration purposes, please provide the following information to Jonathan Cansdale, jonathan.cansdale.4@us.af.mil and Godwin Dike, godwin.dike@us.af.mil : 1) Attendee's Name; 2) Company Name; 3) Attendee's Email Address; and 4) Attendee's Phone Number. 5) Title of topic to be briefed 6) Amount of time needed to brief (no longer than 45 minutes including questions)* *Note-briefing times are subject to the number of registered briefs. *** MOST IMPORTANT *** REGISTRATION CLOSES at 11:59 p.m. (CST) on 27 January 2017 for the 7 February 2017 Industry Day. Directions and Maps to the meeting site are attached to this announcement. A final itinerary will be sent out to registered briefers by 3 February 2017.
