- Category management document to provide guidance for governance, management and operations of category management. Process for evaluating Best-in-Class (BIC) solutions (both mandatory and preferred). Guidance document for evaluating Best-in-Class (BIC) solutions (both mandatory and preferred). To ensure active and ongoing dialogue with our industry partners, the Government-wide Category Management Program Management Office (PMO) will be sharing "bulletins" of relevant information for this community. You're key to the success of category management, and we want to offer opportunities for you to get a more detailed understanding of activities and to provide feedback. Our first area of focus is Best in Class (BIC) vehicle designations. As a reminder, BIC is a contracting and acquisition designation used across government to denote contracts and vehicles that meet rigorous category management performance criteria as defined by the attached Category Management document. More information about these criteria, along with an overview of the BIC process and governance, is attached and posted on the Acquisition Gateway ( https://hallways.cap.gsa.gov/) ( Search "Best in lass" after login ). We plan to regularly share more information about the government-wide category management initiative; to send your feedback, questions and ideas, contact the Government-wide Category Management PMO at: category.management@gsa.gov.
