- This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for informational purposes only. The Government is soliciting information from Small Business concerns. This is not a solicitation announcement, nor is it a Request for Proposal (RFP). No solicitation is currently available. This request does not obligate the Government in any contract award. The Government will not pay for the provision of any information, nor will it compensate any respondents for the development of such information. Do not submit cost proposals or cost information. Response to this notice is strictly voluntary and will not affect any firm's ability to submit a proposal if and when a solicitation is issued. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Pittsburgh District, is conducting market research to determine the capabilities of potential Small Business sources for various construction projects, with a majority of the work expected to be within the geographical boundaries of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Pittsburgh District, and with work also considered inside the LRD Mission area (Buffalo District, Huntington District, Louisville District, Nashville District, Chicago District and Detroit District). The proposed NAICS for the proposed acquisition is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, and the small business size standard is $36.5 Million. The information gathered will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. SCOPE OF THE PROPOSED ACQUISITION: The Government is proposing award of up to three (3) IDIQ contracts for construction, for periods of one (1) base and four (4) option years each. Examples of construction work to be performed under such contracts may consist of, but are not limited to: river and stream bank erosion protection; clearing and snagging of streams; demolition; pavement repair and replacement; installation of guide rail, fencing, and similar site work; excavation, backfill, placement of fill, grading; construction and repair of storm drainage, sanitary sewers and water-lined; paving, and minor concrete construction. Incidental work may include door and window replacement, roof replacement, replacement of heating, air conditioning, and plumbing systems; electrical work; construction of small buildings; erection of pre-fabricated buildings; and other various small construction projects. Materials that will be used in completion of the projects will be furnished by the Contractor, unless otherwise specified. INTERESTED SOURCES MUST PROVIDE THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION: Interested and capable small business sources are requested to provide complete responses with the following information to Jennifer Cutshall, Contract Specialist, no later than 11:00 a.m. on January 9, 2017 via email at jennifer.cutshall@usace.army.mil : (1) Company/firm name and address (2) Company/firm point of contact, telephone number and email address (3) Company/firm cage code and DUNS number (4) All interested contractors should submit a narrative demonstrating their specialized experience in similar type contracts and past performance. Capability statements should include, bonding capacity, bonding availability, details of similar projects and the completion dates, and contract amounts for the similar projects listed.
