- Intent to Sole Source: Torax Medical, Inc. Notice Number N0025917N0163 THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. The proposed contract action is for commercial supplies for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 13.501(a)(1)(ii). Naval Medical Center San Diego anticipates making a sole source award to: Torax Medical, Inc. 4188 Lexington Avenue North Shoreview, MN 55126-6106 The above authority is cited and justification made based on the determination that the Government's minimum needs can best be satisfied by supplies available from one source. The objective of this sole source award is to procure the LINX TM Reflux Management System for Naval Medical Center, San Diego. This system is manufactured and distributed solely by Torax Medical, Incorporated. Torax Medical, Inc. is the only known provider of the LINX TM Reflux Management System. The NAICS code for this requirement is 339112. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 2:00 PM Pacific Time on 6 December 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Elena Bass at elena.m.bass.civ@mail.mil.The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Notice Number N0025917N0163" A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. NO TELEPHONE REQUESTS WILL BE HONORED
