- This is a Special Notice. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposals, request for quotes, or invitation for bid. This Special Notice is a market research tool being utilized to determine the availability of qualified 8(a) small business concerns available to work in the Great Plains Area of Responsibility. This is not a solicitation for proposals and a contract will not be awarded as a result of this announcement. No reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this notice. All responses shall be provided via e-mail to Mimi.Hetzel@ihs.gov and Robert.sim@ihs.gov. In accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation 5.2, the Indian Health Service is conducting market research and is issuing a Special Notice for an 8(a) Industry Day. The event will include opening statements from IHS Contracting Officers and Technical Representatives. Attendees will be afforded the opportunity to confer with Contracting Officers (Division of Engineering Services) and Technical Staff (from the Great Plains Area). Topics of discussion will include upcoming work and 8(a) contract requirements. All 8(a) small businesses with the following NAICS codes are welcome to attend; 236220, 238210, 237210,238190 and 238910, 238220. All interested 8(a) concerns should bring their respective qualification statement and be prepared to respond to various questions posed. The Governments intends to award multiple IDIQ's in support of the Great Plains Area. The Conference will be held as follows: Date: Wednesday, January 11, 2017 Time: 09:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Mountain Time (MT) Location : Indian Health Service 420 S. Garfield Ave #200 Pierre, SD. 57501. Parking is extremely limited and use of public transit is strongly recommended. RSVP is required to attend.
