The proposed contract will be awarded pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 19.805 on the basis of competition limited to eligible 8(a) firms. Therefore, as a 100 percent set-aside for 8(a) small business concerns, offers from other than 8(a) small business concerns will not be considered. This DRAFT solicitation is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). The Government anticipates issuance of the formal RFP W58RGZ-17-R-0001 during 2nd quarter FY 2017. Army Contracting Command Redstone (ACC-RSA) proposes to award a single source, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract to enable AMRDEC's Engineering Directorate's PIF at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama to fulfil its mission of providing best value, rapid response hardware integration solutions to support the Department of Defense (DoD) and other federal agencies. The proposed Technical Support of the AMRDEC PIF acquisition effort, "PIF-3", is a follow-on to the PIF's current prime contract, "PIF-2". The proposed contract will be a five-year base IDIQ with two individual, two-year award term options for a total contract value of $4.73 billion. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code/small business size standard for this acquisition is 336413, Other Aircraft Parts and Auxiliary Equipment Manufacturing while the small business size standard for this acquisition is 1,250 employees.
