- This is a total small business set-a-side combined synopsis/solicitation. The U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) has a requirement for one year of EMC Networker enterprise backup software utilized by the Bureau at its Reston Enterprise Datacenter. This combined synopsis/solicitation for a firm fixed price commercial service contract is prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will be issued. The solicitation number is G17PS00061 and is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in affect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2005-92, effective 18 November 2016. Please see solicitation with CLINS, technical specifications, provisions, and clauses. All questions pertaining to this solicitation must be submitted to the Contracting Officer by 03:00pm ET on December 7, 2016. Quotations are due no later than 03:00pm ET on December 14, 2016. The Government anticipates award of a commercial, Firm-Fixed Price type contract on or about December 31, 2016. THE CONTRACTOR MUST BE AN AUTHORIZED / CERTIFIED EMC PROVIDER AND MUST CLEARLY ANNOTATE THIS REQUIREMENT IN THE QUOTE. It is the responsibility of all interested parties to check back periodically for any amendments to the synopsis or solicitation. In order to comply with the debt collection improvement act of 1966, all contractors must be registered and have an active registration in the System for Award Management (SAM) to be considered for an award of a federal contract. This system combines data that was formerly contained in the Central Contractors Registration (CCR) and Online Representation and Certifications (ORCA).
