- Technical Order 00-25-252J PWS Request for Quote Digital Radiographic Imaging System This item is a digital radiography (x-ray) system suitable for Nondestructive Inspection (NDI) use in a military aircraft maintenance environment. It replaces traditional chemical-based x-ay film with a storage phosphor imaging plate. Technical requirements are contained in Product Description PD-AFLCMC-EZPT-16-01. It is used to detect fatigue cracks, water entrapment, foreign objects, and welding defects. This item uses commercial technology with accessories especially kitted to meet Air Force needs, however it is not a "Commercial-Off-The-Shelf" item. The ability to identify weld defects is the critical performance requirement. The item should meet and exceed process control standards as described in TO 33B-1-2, NONDESTRUCTIVE INSPECTION - General Procedures and Process Controls, WP 106 01, Computed Radiography Process Control.
