- Description
- The NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center (FLC), Norfolk, Contracting Department, Philadelphia Office intends to acquire two (2) OnGuard Lenel Access Control, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and installation for the National Defense University, Washington, DC. FLC ™s intent is to process this procurement on a sole source basis to Tyco Integrated Security LLC, Alexandria, Virginia. Tyco is considered the sole source provider because Tyco has previously supplied Lenel systems to NDU in which these components will be integrated. Provision of the new components from a different source would void the warranty on the existing equipment and NDU would no longer have access to updates, maintenance, and service of the system. FLC ™s intent is to issue a firm fixed price contract in accordance with FAR 12 (Commercial Items) and FAR 13 (Simplified Acquisition Procedures). The delivery date is 30 days after date of award. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. Interested quoters may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit a capability statement. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all capability statements received by 16 Sept 2016 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The proposed procurement is being processed as a Sole Source basis. The solicitation number is N00189-16-T-Z428 and the applicable NAICS code is 335122.
