- This synopsis is being posted to the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) page located at http://www.fbo.gov. It is understood that FBO is the single point of entry for posting of synopsis and solicitation to the internet. This is a synopsis for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items and is being advertised on an unrestricted basis under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 335921, Size Standard 1,000 employees, as concurred with by the NUWCDIVNPT Office for Small Business Programs. NUWC Division Newport intends to purchase various lengths of commercial undersea telecommunications cable including reels for delivery, cable storage, and cable testing. The resulting firm fixed priced purchase order will include options. Offerors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) ( https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM ) to be eligible for award. Instructions for registration are available at the website. The Government intends to award a single firm fixed price purchase order to the eligible, responsible offeror whose offer represents the lowest price technically acceptable. All responsible sources may submit a quote that shall be considered by the agency. The Government will consider past performance information in accordance with DFARS Provision 252.213-7000 where negative information within PPIRS-SR may render a quote being deemed technically unacceptable. This solicitation and any subsequent amendment will be posted to the FEDBIZOPPS website. Prospective offerors are responsible for downloading their own copy of the solicitation from this website and for frequently monitoring this site for any amendments. Additional information on this requirement will be included in the solicitation. The anticipated posting date of solicitation N66604-16-Q-2810 is on or about 21 September 2016.
