- NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT- The Massachusetts United States Property and Fiscal Office intend to award a sole source contract to Triune Specialty Trailers. For the Request to purchase training and educational materials from Triune Specialty Trailers for Massachusetts Army National Guard Recruiting & Retention battalion( MA ARNG RRB) as part of the Massachusetts. Triune Specialty Trailers will provide a custom mobile command center focused on the Skills USA Robotics Urban Search and Rescue competition. The trailer is designed to be a mobile classroom, storage space, and mobile robotic operations center. The trailer is specifically designed to incorporate the Pitsco Robotics Classroom program (Ref. Notice W912SV_16_PITSCO) consisting of all the pieces and materials to construct remotely operated vehicles to be deployed on the Urban Search and Rescue course and guided from the command center via camera. Triune Specialty Trailers is the only vendor in Massachusetts that can fabricate a trailer that is specifically designed to be used in junction with the Pitsco Robotics Classroom and meets the MA ARNG RRB mission requirements. MA ARNG RRB does not currently have a STEM asset that would greatly leverage the RRB into Tier I high schools and colleges, putting the MA ARNG RRB ahead of the local competing services. Without increased access to this market, the MA ARNG RRB may fail to meet its accession and end strength missions and end up in a lower percentage of Tier I accessions. The sole source requirement meets the conditions of FAR 6.302-1; only one responsible source has been identified as reasonably available to provide the supplies and services that will satisfy the MA ARNG RRB requirements. The information received as a result of this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.This synopsis is for notification purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation for bids,quotes,or proposals. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 336214. The Government does not intend to pay for any information provide under this notice. A determination by the Government not to complete this proposed contract based on this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. This synopsis does not constitute a solicitation, however all responsible sources that believe they can meet all of the requirements may contact the USPFO for Massachusetts via e-mail at erika.l.reinikainen-rovinelli.mil@mail.mil and be considered by the government.
