- Special Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source: The 2d Contracting Squadron at Barksdale AFB LA intends to award a Sole Source, Firm Fixed Price Contract to Simulyze, Inc. under Simplified Acquisition Procedures and Other than Full and Open Competition as authorized by FAR 6.302-1(a)(2) & 13.501(a)(1)(iii). Market research was conducted and it has been determined that this is a sole source requirement IAW FAR 6.302-1 Authority: 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1), Justification: Supplies required are available from only one or a limited number of responsible sources and no other type of supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. Multiple awards will not be considered for this procurement. The Government intends to procure the following: Simulyze Flight Control Software Flight Control Professional v3.5 Annual Support & Upgrades: Flight Control Professional 1 Year Maintenance Period Flight Control Enterprise with Single Internal Export Annual Support & Upgrades: Flight Control Enterprise with Single Internal Export 1 Year Maintenance Period Annual Support & Upgrades: Flight Control Enterprise with Single Internal Export 1 Year Maintenance Period Integration and Training Simulyze is the only manufacturer that can provide the Flight Software that is compatible and has the technical requirements needed by the Department of the Air Force for use in providing global situational awareness across the globe and is approved for use on Air Force networks. The anticipated award date is after 21-Sep-16. This is NOT a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation is available. No contract award will be made on the basis of this notice. This notice does not constitute a solicitation document. Requests for such documents will not be considered. However, all information received within (5) days of this publication of this notice will be considered SOLELY for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement in the future. A determination by the Government not to open the requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely whiting the direction of the Government. The Government will not pay for information received. The NAICS Code is 511210 and the size standard d is $38.5 Million. Market research was conducted and only one source, Simulzye, Inc. is able to meet the government's needs.
