- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for services in which the government intends to acquire in accordance with FAR Part 13, Simplified Acquisitions Procedures. Department of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), National Marine Fisheries Service (NMFS), AFSC. The Alaska Fisheries Science Center (AFSC) has a requirement for non-personal services to provide caretaker services for the NMFS field research station on St Paul Island, Alaska, during the winter months while NMFS personnel are not present on the island, until the following field season the next summer. Due to the remote location and frequent transportation delays for off island repair personnel, this individual will need to have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to monitor the facility, and conduct emergency repairs if problems arise per the attached specifications in request for quotes (RFQ) ABL-16213 prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 13. See attached RFQ with included Statement of Need for more information. All interested concerns must submit a quotation and documentation demonstrating the qualifications to provide services as described above within fifteen (15) days of the publication date of this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, quotations are being requested and a written solicitation has been issued. A firm-fixed order is anticipated to be issued by July 23, 2016.. This is a simplified acquisition with an estimated value of less than $150,000.00. *** All contractors doing business with this Acquisition Office must be registered and active in the System for Award Management (SAM).
