- The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central, Fort Hood, Texas intends to award a firm fixed price, sole source Contract to, Shimadzu Precision Instruments, Inc., a large business, under the authority of the Federal Acquisiton Regulaton (FAR) 13.106-1(b)(i) - Only one responsible source will satisfy Agency requirements for the Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. This acquisition is for the maintenance services of Shimadzu DR Portable Radiographic Units. The applicable NAICS code for this requirement is 811219, and the size standard is 20,500,000. This notice is not a request for competitive quotes. All responsible source may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the agency before the intended award date. Interested sources who submit data are responsible for appropriately marking information if it is proprietary in nature. The Government shall not reimburse interested sources for any information provided. No requests for capability briefings will be honored as a result of this notice and any information provided will not be used as part of any subsequent solicitation requirement. No telephonic inquiries will be honored. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. NOTE: INTERESTED VENDORS, PLEASE RESPOND TO THIS NOTICE ON OR BEFORE 23 AUGUST 2016, 12:00 PM, CST. The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central intends to make a sole source award to Shimadzu Precision Instruments, Inc., 3645 N Lakewood Blvd, Long Beach, CA, 90806-1797. Interested parties may email any concerns to Jennifer L. Arellano at jennifer.l.arellano2.civ@mail.mil no later than 23 August 2016 at 2:00 PM, CST. Any information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procurement. The Government reserves the right not to compete the proposed purchase based on responses to this notice. The item may be awarded without further notice.
