Description
Military Sealift Command (MSC) Norfolk, VA 23511 intends to solicit a firm fixed-price sole source requirement to Electronic Consulting Services, Inc. The requirement is for programmatic, engineering, and technical support to MSC in management of the T-AOE-6 Machinery Control System (MCS) replacement. The required service will be acquired in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) Subpart 6.3 - Other than Full and Open Competition, FAR Part 12 - Acquisition of Commercial Items, and FAR Part 13 - Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The North American Industry Classification Code for procurement is 541330 - Engineering Services. The size standard is $15.0M. The required period of performance is 6 September 2016 through 1 December 2016. A complete Request for Quote package will be available for downloading at http://www.fbo.gov on or about 12 August 2016. Potential contractors are hereby notified that the solicitation and subsequent amendments to the solicitation will ONLY be available for download at the above site; this office will no longer issue hard copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the vendor is self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any federal agency. Failure to do so may represent grounds for refusing to accept the quote. By submission of a quote, the contractor acknowledges the requirement that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Systems for Award Management (SAM) database prior to award, during performance, and through final payment of any contract resulting from this solicitation, except for awards to foreign vendors for work to be performed outside the United States. Lack of registration in the SAM database will make a contractor ineligible for award. Contractors may obtain information on registration and annual confirmation requirements by calling 866-606-8220, or via the Internet at https://www.sam.gov/portal/public/SAM/.
