- The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is responsible for conducting acquisitions in support of the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH). NIOSH has a requirement "Usability Studies of Next-Generation Closed-Circuit Mine Escape Respirators: Protocol Development." The resulting contract will provide support for the necessary in-mine usability studies. The contractor will be required to develop three (3) documents related to the usability study protocol: (1) study design protocol that includes in-mine testing; (2) Institutional Review Board protocol; and (3) Paperwork Reduction Act protocol. This requirement is solicited on a full and open competition basis. The period of performance is anticipated to be not longer than 24 months after contract issuance. The complete requirement details will be contained within a solicitation document which is anticipated to be available for downloading at www.fedbizopps.gov 15 calendar days after the posting date of this notice. No verbal or written requests for copies will be accepted. It is the responsibility of prospective offerors to stay abreast of additional postings regarding this solicitation at the FedBizOpps Internet site.
