- THIS IS A NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD A SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT AND IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Reference #: N00259-16-N-0187. Naval Medical Center San Diego intends to award a firm fixed price sole source contract under the authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1)(i), only one responsible source, to: Philips Healthcare; 22100 Bothell Everett Hwy, Bothell, WA 98021-8431. The objective of this sole source award is to acquire battery replacement for three MRI UPS units. Sole source is based on Philips Healthcare's ability to provide a product and service that meet the characteristics required by the medical center. In order to meet the required characteristics the vendor must be able to provide the service along with the battery replacement: load tests need to be run by certified engineers as well as complete inspection to include: structure, parts assembly, wire routes, ratings and settings, performance checks, calibration checks and display operation checks. Post operation checks to include: unit clean up, preventive maintenance explanation to customer and comprehensive battery analysis using dedicated battery test equipment. The NAICS code for this requirement is 811310; the small business size standard is 750 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes; however, interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement. All information received by 12:00 PM Pacific Time on July 29, 2016 may be considered by the Government. Responses shall be submitted to Jaime Flores at Jaime.r.flores4.civ@mail.mil. The email subject line shall state, "Naval Medical Center San Diego, Intent to Award Sole Source to Philips Healthcare."
