- This is a combined sources sought and pre-solicitation notice. The anticipated contract is for establishment of a repair Requirements contract for F404 Front Frames. The solicitation will be issued with five base years. The total quantity of 625ea is the estimated quantity to be repaired over 5 years. (Year 1, 125ea; Year 2, 125ea; Year 3, 125ea; Year 4 125ea; Year 5 125ea). All quantities are estimated. The period of performance is estimated to begin Feb 2017 and conclude Feb 2022. Additional NSNs/Part Numbers included: 2840-01-256-486/6046T39G01, 2840-01-475-8063/6046T39G02. The awardee shall be responsible for repair/modification of these three (3) components. These three (3) components are coded sole-source to Orenda Aerospace and are coded Critical Safety Items. Prospective offerors must submit a source approval request to NAVSUP WSS to become an approved Navy source of supply. The repair specifications contain proprietary data and are not available for distribution. This procurement is being processed in accordance with Part 15 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). The applicable NAICS code is 336412. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to Free Trade Agreements. (FAR 52.225-3). One or more of the items under this acquisition is subject to the World Trade Organization Government Procurement Agreement and Free Trade Agreements. (FAR 52.225-5) These items require Government Source Approval prior to award. If you are not an approved source, you must submit, together with your proposal, the information detailed in the NAVSUP WSS Source Approval Brochure which can be obtained on the internet at https://www.navsup.navy.mil/navsup/ourteam/navsupwss/business_opps. Offers received which fail to provide all data required by the source approval brochure will not be considered for award under this solicitation. Please note, if evaluation of a source approval request submitted hereunder cannot be processed in time and / or approval requirements preclude the ability to obtain subject items in time to meet Government requirements, award of this requirement may be continued based on Fleet support needs. This is not a small business set aside. The solicitation is forthcoming.
