- Submission Date: 7/29/2016 Subject: Shooting Police Training Simulator This Sources Sought Notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation or as an obligation/commitment by the Government at this time. This notice is intended strictly for market research. The purpose of this Sources Sought notice is to determine interest and capability of potential vendors relative to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 611430 (Professional and Management Development Training). Setcan Corporation is known to meet the Government's needs. The Government is requesting that responsible sources respond if it can provide Shooting Stress Vest Police Training Simulator with the following specifications: 1. Adjustable pain penalty which allows the instructor to set the penalty to the appropriate level of the student being trained 2. Eye safe lasers and no projectiles, which allow a safety template. 3. Center mass reward system which only activates when hit in the upper torso region 4. Weapons systems utilize CO2 recoil, dry fire, and blank fire kits 5. Accurate and distance training by using lasers which ballistically match what is carried on duty. 7. Several modes of training to include stress exposure mode, move to cover mode, injured officer mode, and role player mode. 8. Must have the following force on force training abilities: a.Non projectile b.No eye protection required c.Creates stress d.No safety gear required e.Method to record hits f.Realistic weapons system g.No clean up h.Can shoot through glass i.Real life scenarios Interested Small Businesses, including VOSBs and SDVOSBs, are required to submit an e-mail delineating: "Qualifications, capabilities, and experience for providing this product "Business size "Socioeconomic status; and "If the product is on the Federal Supply Schedule or the Open Market This is not a Request for Proposal or an announcement of a solicitation and no solicitation package exists at this time. Your responses will be used solely for market research purposes of the Government. The Government will not pay for any materials provided in response to this notice and submissions will not be returned to the sender. VOSBs and SDVOSBs must be registered and verified in VIP for consideration. The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this requirement is 611430 and the small business size standard is $11.0 million. Responses must be submitted by e-mail to Antanette Shellaugh at Antanette.Shellaugh@va.gov. The information requested must be received no later than 1:00 pm Central Standard Time on Tuesday, August 2, 2016.
