- In accordance with the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Acquisition Management System (AMS) paragraph 3.2.24, the purpose of this announcement is to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with The Boeing Company, Seattle, Washington via single source procedures. This procurement is in support of the FAA's Real & Virtual Environment Division. The award will be made for the procurement of 360 Degree Virtual Airplanetour Software Package for B-737NG, B-777, and B-787 models customized to show the flight deck and passenger locations at the FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center. Software package contains sufficient resolution and detail to enable participants to visualize specific systems in the Boeing aircrafts that are required. 360 Degree Virtual Airplanetour Software is provided exclusively by The Boeing Company. The Boeing Company is the sole developer and distributor of the virtual software and support. Therefore, only Boeing Company has the technical expertise for all applications that the US government needs, inclusive of any NDA and proprietary classified work. A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If your firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capability and experience in delivering such services outlined above and the FAA will evaluate that information accordingly.
